Best Prop Firms for NinjaTrader (2026): 10 Futures Firms Ranked
NinjaTrader is still the default desktop platform for futures day traders, but not every futures prop firm lets you use it - Topstep now puts new traders on its own platform, and several newer firms skip NinjaTrader entirely. We checked the platform list of every futures firm in our database, then ranked the ones that support NinjaTrader on how it connects (Tradovate or Rithmic), what the licence costs you, and the account terms behind it. These are the ten best prop firms for NinjaTrader, and the five we left out.
The short answer
- Best overall: Lucid Trading — NinjaTrader through Tradovate or Rithmic, a 90% split, end-of-day drawdown and payouts in about 15 minutes.
- Free NinjaTrader licence: BluSky — the only firm we track that covers a full NinjaTrader 8 lifetime licence, worth around $725.
- Best value on Tradovate: Tradeify — $107 for a $50,000 account with code OCT, one-time, EOD drawdown on every plan.
- Running many accounts at once? Read our Apex review — up to 20 funded accounts on Rithmic or Tradovate.

Editorial ranking: NinjaTrader support for new signups is the entry test, then firms are ordered on the account terms behind it, starting from the Editor Score in our scoring methodology. "No licence key" means NinjaTrader 8.1+ connects with the credentials your firm issues; CME market data fees are separate. Every firm here is futures-only and accepts US traders. The 10 best prop firms for NinjaTrader
Lucid Trading is the strongest all-round home for a NinjaTrader trader. It supports both connection routes plus seven other frontends, so you can run NinjaTrader alongside TradingView on the same account. Behind the platform sit the terms that matter: a 90% split on every account, end-of-day drawdown, one-time fees and payouts averaging about 15 minutes on Flex and Direct. LucidFlex drops the daily loss limit and the funded consistency rule.
Best for: NinjaTrader scalpers who want an EOD floor, fast payouts and the option to switch frontends later.
Watch out: You pick the account type and platform at checkout. LucidDaily funded accounts trail intraday.
BluSky is the only firm we track that pays for a full NinjaTrader 8 lifetime licence, worth around $725, and keeps it in place from evaluation through to live capital. If you want NinjaTrader's paid features rather than the free connection, nothing else comes close. The account terms hold up too: a choice of end-of-day trailing or static drawdown, a 90/10 split, and daily Monday-to-Friday payouts with no minimums.
Best for: Traders who want a full NinjaTrader licence without buying one, and a static drawdown option.
Watch out: A 30% consistency rule on most plans, no overnight holds, and professional market data billed to you.
Tradeify is the cheapest serious NinjaTrader account this month: code OCT takes 35% off every plan, putting a $50,000 evaluation at about $107 and $100,000 at $172, one-time, with no activation fee. Every plan uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, the split is 90%, and it reports more than $250 million paid. Its Tradovate accounts connect straight into NinjaTrader Desktop with the credentials on your dashboard.
Best for: Budget-minded NinjaTrader traders who want EOD drawdown and a one-time fee.
Watch out: The Select plan carries a consistency requirement. OCT expires 31 October 2026.
MyFundedFutures runs entirely on Tradovate, which makes it one of the simplest NinjaTrader set-ups available - one set of credentials works in NinjaTrader, TradingView and Quantower. It carries a 4.9 Trustpilot rating across more than 21,600 reviews and $229 million in blockchain-verified payouts. Rapid EOD pays 90/10 on an end-of-day floor with daily payout eligibility, and no plan charges an activation fee.
Best for: Traders who want the most-reviewed firm in futures and a plain Tradovate-to-NinjaTrader connection.
Watch out: Standard Rapid switches to an intraday trailing floor once funded. Buy Rapid EOD instead.
TopOne Futures lets you keep 100% of your first $20,000 in profit - the largest opening tranche we found - then 90% on every account. Its end-of-day trailing drawdown locks permanently once you clear the buffer, the evaluation has no minimum trading days, and withdrawals process in under 24 hours. A 4.8 Trustpilot rating and more than $25 million paid back it, and qualified traders can scale beyond $2.5 million.
Best for: Consistently profitable NinjaTrader traders who will use the 100% tranche.
Watch out: Launched in 2025, accounts start at $25,000, and promotional pricing hides the list rate.
TradeDay's evaluation has a single rule - do not breach the trailing maximum drawdown - and no account type, evaluation or funded, carries a daily loss limit. That suits NinjaTrader traders who size up on volatile sessions. A static drawdown option, a lifetime split that climbs to 95%, payouts from day one processed the next business day, and a 4.6 Trustpilot score round it out. Code TDNEW cuts plans by 55%.
Best for: Traders who want no daily limit and the choice of a static floor.
Watch out: Billed monthly, so a slow evaluation multiplies the cost. A consistency rule applies during the evaluation.
Apex Trader Funding
Apex Trader Funding is the highest-volume futures firm, with more than $700 million reported paid, and NinjaTrader reaches its accounts through either the Rithmic or the Tradovate route. You may hold up to 20 funded accounts at once, the evaluation has no minimum days and no consistency rule, and it is a one-time fee discounted heavily about twice a month. The funded side is the catch: a 50% consistency test, a $500 minimum and six payouts per account.
Best for: Traders who copy one NinjaTrader strategy across many accounts.
Watch out: Automation is banned, stop-loss brackets are enforced by the platform, and the activation fee is never discounted.
FundedSeat pays in about five hours on average, with daily payouts from day one on its Daily, Daily Pro and Instant Direct models. Unusually, every one of its six products uses an end-of-day drawdown, so there is no mechanic surprise between evaluation and instant accounts, and the split is 90% from the first payout. A $50,000 evaluation is $89.95, one-time.
Best for: NinjaTrader day traders who withdraw often and want EOD on every product.
Watch out: Launched around 2025, a thin review base, and only one price is published before checkout.
Alpha Futures runs a single-stage evaluation on an end-of-day trailing drawdown and holds a 4.9 Trustpilot rating. Its Zero plan is the one to buy: no consistency rule and no activation fee, so a trader can pass in a single day and reach a 90% split from the first payout. Combined allocation scales to $750,000 across qualified accounts, and payouts process within 48 business hours.
Best for: Traders who want to pass fast and skip the consistency rule.
Watch out: Standard and Advanced carry a 50% consistency rule, and each payout releases only 50% of profit.
Take Profit Trader lets PRO traders withdraw from day one with no payout window and no maximum cap, usually inside a business day, and the Test has no daily loss limit. The minimum Test length fell to three trading days in August 2026. It ranks last here because the better PRO+ tier - 90/10 on an end-of-day floor - is invite-only, leaving most traders on an 80/20 intraday-trailing PRO account.
Best for: Traders who want cash out early and often, and already trade small and steady.
Watch out: Billed monthly, a $130 PRO activation fee, and a $50 fee on withdrawals of $250 or less.
How We Ranked the Best Prop Firms for NinjaTrader
NinjaTrader support was the entry requirement: every firm here lets you trade its evaluation and funded accounts from NinjaTrader Desktop today, for new signups. From there we ranked on the account behind the platform - drawdown model, profit split, payout speed and track record, starting from the public Editor Score - and gave extra weight to firms that offer both connection routes or cover the licence. A good platform cannot rescue a bad rulebook, so NinjaTrader compatibility alone did not earn a place.
Do You Need to Buy a NinjaTrader Licence for a Prop Firm?
Usually not. On NinjaTrader 8.1 and later, most prop firm accounts connect without a licence key: you sign in to NinjaTrader Desktop with your own NinjaTrader account, then add the Tradovate or Rithmic credentials your firm issued. That free connection covers charting, order entry, ATM strategies and everything an evaluation needs. You need a paid licence only for NinjaTrader's premium features, or when you connect a personal brokerage account alongside a Rithmic-based firm. BluSky is the exception that pays for the full lifetime licence, which is why it ranks second.
What no firm here covers fully is market data. Before a Tradovate account works, you sign the CME market data agreement and declare yourself professional or non-professional; choose non-professional only if you genuinely qualify, because the classification sets your data fees. BluSky, for example, covers the licence but bills professional data to you.
Tradovate vs. Rithmic: Which NinjaTrader Funded Account to Buy
Every NinjaTrader funded account reaches the platform through one of two connections, and at several firms the choice is permanent once you check out. Tradovate is owned by NinjaTrader Group, so the link is native: one login works in NinjaTrader Desktop, Tradovate's browser and mobile apps, and TradingView. That makes Tradovate prop firms the easier choice on a Mac or for anyone who trades from more than one device. Rithmic is the older, order-flow-oriented feed: it powers NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, Bookmap, ATAS and Jigsaw, needs a one-time R|Trader Pro login, and in practice means Windows.

Why Topstep Is Not on This List
For years Topstep was the NinjaTrader prop firm. That changed when it moved new Combines onto TopstepX, its own browser platform built on TradingView charting. Traders with legacy NinjaTrader or Tradovate accounts were grandfathered, but a new signup cannot pick NinjaTrader at all, so Topstep fails this page's entry test. If you are happy to leave NinjaTrader, it still ranks on our wider futures list.
Automation and NinjaScript: Read the Rule Before You Run It
Many traders choose NinjaTrader for NinjaScript and ATM strategies, and that is where funded accounts most often go wrong. Apex Trader Funding prohibits automation and algorithmic trading outright, and since March 2026 it also rejects any order without an attached stop loss at the Rithmic and Tradovate level - so build your bracket templates before your first trade. Funded Futures Family bans fully automated trading even though third-party copy trading is now allowed. Semi-automated ATM brackets are generally fine; a strategy that enters on its own is a separate question, answered plan by plan.

See the best futures prop firmsLucid Trading or Apex on NinjaTrader?
The two names NinjaTrader traders compare most both connect through Tradovate or Rithmic, and both lock that choice at checkout. They split on what happens after you pass: Lucid Trading pays 90% on an end-of-day floor with payouts in minutes, while Apex allows up to 20 funded accounts but caps each at six payouts behind a 50% consistency test. Our Apex review covers the activation fee and the stop-loss rule in full.

Each of these supports NinjaTrader or is widely assumed to, but one platform restriction, fee or rule kept it out of the ten.
The firm most traders associate with NinjaTrader no longer offers it to new traders: new Combines run on TopstepX only, and NinjaTrader and Tradovate access is limited to grandfathered accounts.
NinjaTrader through Rithmic with 100% of the first $10,000 and one-time fees since August 2026, but it is Rithmic-only, evaluations expire after 30 days, and Qualification payouts run weekly with a $1,000 minimum.
Daily payouts and a choice of trailing, static or EOD drawdown on NinjaTrader, but a $130 activation fee is more than three times the discounted evaluation, and live accounts drop to 80/20.
Entries from about $50 and a flat 90% split on NinjaTrader, but fully automated trading is banned - a problem for anyone running NinjaScript strategies - and the drawdown mechanic changes by program.
Supports NinjaTrader on both Rithmic and Tradovate with entries from $16.50, but several programs use an intraday trailing drawdown, and its Editor Score trails the ten above.
Prop firms for NinjaTrader: FAQ
What is the best prop firm for NinjaTrader in 2026?
Lucid Trading for most traders: it supports NinjaTrader through both Tradovate and Rithmic, pays 90% on every account with an end-of-day drawdown, and averages about 15-minute payouts on Flex and Direct. If you want a full NinjaTrader licence paid for, BluSky is the only firm we track that covers the lifetime licence.
Which prop firms give you a free NinjaTrader licence?
BluSky covers a full NinjaTrader 8 lifetime licence, worth around $725, at every stage. Elsewhere you rarely need one: on NinjaTrader 8.1 and later, most prop firm accounts connect without a licence key, using the Tradovate or Rithmic credentials the firm issues. You pay only if you want NinjaTrader's paid features or connect a personal brokerage account as well.
Do Tradovate prop firms work with NinjaTrader?
Yes. NinjaTrader Group owns Tradovate, and Tradovate prop accounts connect straight into NinjaTrader Desktop: enable multi-provider mode, add a Tradovate connection with the credentials from your firm's dashboard, and choose the simulation account type. Sign the market data agreement at trader.tradovate.com first, or the credentials will not work anywhere else.
Rithmic or Tradovate - which should I choose for NinjaTrader?
Tradovate is simpler: one login works in NinjaTrader, the browser, mobile and TradingView. Rithmic is the traditional choice for order-flow traders who also run Sierra Chart, Bookmap or Jigsaw, but it is effectively Windows-only and needs an R|Trader Pro login first. Firms like Apex lock the route at purchase, so decide before you buy.
Does Topstep still support NinjaTrader?
Not for new traders. New Topstep Combines run only on TopstepX, its own browser platform. Traders with legacy NinjaTrader or Tradovate accounts were grandfathered, but new signups cannot choose NinjaTrader.
Can I run NinjaScript strategies on a NinjaTrader funded account?
Only where the firm's rules allow it. Apex Trader Funding prohibits automation and algorithmic trading, and Funded Futures Family bans fully automated trading even though it now allows copy trading. Read the automation clause of the exact plan before running an ATM strategy or NinjaScript bot on an evaluation.
Our verdict for 2026
Start with Lucid Trading if you want NinjaTrader on the best all-round account - both connection routes, 90% and an end-of-day floor. Choose BluSky if you want the full licence paid for, and Tradeify if price decides it. Whichever you buy, pick Tradovate or Rithmic before checkout - several firms will not switch it later.
